Terms and Conditions for Impact Family Inc. Counseling Retreats

1. Introduction

Welcome to Impact Family Inc. Counseling Retreats. Our retreats are designed to offer a unique blend of cognitive and behavioral counseling deeply integrated with Christian theology. We emphasize the Holy Spirit's role and understand God's grace. Our approach is based on experiencing God's grace through faith, "not by works, lest anyone should boast," aligning with our foundational Christian beliefs.

By registering for our retreats, you ("the Participant") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which incorporate our faith-based approach and outline the legal agreements between you and Impact Family Inc. ("the Organization").

2. Faith-Based Approach

The Participant acknowledges that the Organization's counseling model integrates Christian theology with cognitive and behavioral counseling techniques. The Participant agrees to engage respectfully and openly in these sessions, which are conducted in a spirit of faith and grace.

3. Refund and Cancellation Policy

The Participant acknowledges that the Organization's refund and cancellation policy is as stated on our website. Specifically, no refunds or cancellations will be accepted within 30 days before the retreat's start date. For refunds before this period, the Participant must contact their counselor and the support team through our website client portal at https://impact.vision/support/.

4. Liability and Risk Acknowledgment

The Participant acknowledges that attending a retreat involves inherent risks, including but not limited to emotional distress, personal injury, and property damage. The Participant agrees to assume all risks associated with participating in the retreat.

5. Medical Consent

In case of a medical emergency, the Organization will take reasonable steps to secure medical treatment for the Participant, including transportation to a medical facility, if deemed necessary. The Participant consents to receive medical treatment deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during the retreat.

6. Conduct and Dismissal

The Participants agree to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Organization's values and the retreat's peaceful and respectful environment. The Organization reserves the right to dismiss any Participant whose behavior is deemed disruptive or contrary to the retreat's objectives without a refund.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

The Organization is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all Participants. Personal information will be handled with the utmost care and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

8. Changes to Terms

The Organization reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions anytime. Participants will be notified of any significant changes before their retreat date.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the retreat is held, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Agreement

By registering for a retreat, the Participant agrees to these Terms and Conditions, confirming their understanding and acceptance of the outlined policies, risks, and commitments.

11. Dispute Resolution

The Participant agrees that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof, including the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, shall be determined by mediation before any other form of dispute resolution.

12. Christian Mediation and Legal Costs

Christian mediation shall be initiated and conducted under the rules of an agreed-upon mediation service, with a mediator selected by mutual agreement of the parties. If the parties cannot agree on a mediator, a mediator will be appointed by the mediation service. The mediation shall occur in the jurisdiction where the retreat is held or another location mutually agreed upon by the parties.

The costs of mediation, including the mediator's fees and expenses, shall be borne by the party initiating the claim ("the Plaintiff"). The meditation organization shall be a third party that both ("the Plaintiff") and ("the Defendant") shall agree to. Each party shall bear its legal fees and expenses associated with the mediation, regardless of the mediation's outcome.

13. Binding Nature of Christian Mediation

While the outcome of mediation is not binding, the parties agree to participate in the mediation process in good faith to resolve any disputes amicably. If mediation does not result in a resolution, the parties may pursue other legal remedies as the law permits.
